    CCAC’s 2014 Annual Security Report is now available for review.
    The 2014 Annual Security Report contains statistical information about certain types of crimes reported to have occurred on or near CCAC’s campuses and at other college owned or controlled facilities during the three most recent calendar years. The 2014 Annual Security Report also provides current and prospective students, employees and the CCAC community at large with information regarding CCAC’s safety and security policies and procedures, including the actions CCAC undertakes to prevent and respond to incidents of sexual assault and sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.
    CCAC hosts timely domestic violence presentations
    The Community College of Allegheny County, in partnership with Crisis Center North, UPMC Passavant and the Passavant Hospital Foundation, will host the presentation “Stabbed in the Heart: A Story About Domestic Violence, Homicide and Transformation”, Wednesday, October 22, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Foerster Student Service Center on CCAC Allegheny Campus. The presentation will also take place on Thursday, October 23, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in room 3002 at CCAC North Campus.
    CCAC hosts job fairs throughout Allegheny County
    The Community College of Allegheny County will host job fairs beginning October 8 and running throughout the month at its four campuses in Allegheny County. Representatives from many of the region’s employers will be on hand to discuss different job opportunities, answer questions and provide information. All of the job fairs are open to CCAC students and alumni as well as the general public.

    CCAC North Campus hosts Open Stage Night
    The Community College of Allegheny County North Campus will host an Open Stage Night, hosted by Greg Joseph of The Clarks, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2014, on the CCAC North Campus Atrium stage, 8701 Perry Highway, McCandless.
    CCAC awarded $642K grant to enhance instruction & student engagement in STEM programs
    The Community College of Allegheny County has been awarded a $642K grant by the National Science Foundation to support the delivery of instruction in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs. The funds will also be used to develop a dual-track hybrid technician program to train science and engineering technicians for family-sustaining employment in the region’s growing energy sector.
