Test.
- GED Testing is now exclusively computer-based and
administered at authorized GED Testing Centers only. No
legitimate GED Test is offered via the Internet.

- If you took the GED test in Pennsylvania prior to December 31,
2013 and did not pass, you may be allowed to combine partial scores
from your test to qualify for the Commonwealth Secondary
School Diploma.

Commonwealth Diploma Program / 30-College-Credit
Option
A Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma may be issued to
any Pennsylvania resident who does not possess a secondary school
diploma and who is at least 18 years of age upon presentation of
evidence of full matriculation and the satisfactory completion of a
minimum of one full year or 30 semester hours of study at an
accredited institution of postsecondary education located in the
United States. An official college transcript is acceptable
evidence for award of this diploma.
Applicants must complete and sign a request form certifying that
they meet the criteria for award of a Commonwealth Diploma. For

GED Scholarship at CCAC
Allegheny County Residents who obtain their GED
Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma are eligible for one
tuition-free 3-credit course at CCAC within six months of receiving
the diploma. For further details and eligibility requirements,

GED Transcript Request
If you have taken and passed the GED test in the past, and
would like to request an official transcript of your results, go to
PA DOE GED Transcript Request Form, and follow
the instructions there.
