    Fall 2017 Registration

    Registration opens for Fall 2017 on Friday, March 31 for Military and Veteran students. Priority Registration kicks in Monday, April 3. New students are welcome to register starting Monday, April 10.

    Are you interested in shaping the legacy of the college? The Community College of Allegheny County Board of Trustees is seeking the participation of a CCAC student to serve on the board as a non-voting member. As the student trustee’s role is to represent the interests of the entire CCAC student body before the board, this is an opportunity to become the voice for the more than 50,000 students who attend CCAC every year.     The CCAC Massage Therapy Certificate program offers an accelerated pathway to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist for current and former Allied Health & Nursing students, as well as others who have completed BIO coursework!     Beginning January 1, 2017, Port Authority will eliminate its two-zone fare system and instate a single-zone system in which all riders will pay $2.50 with a ConnectCard. Riders paying with cash will pay $2.75. Several other changes will take effect. Please read if you ride the bus to campus.

    James (J.B.) Messer, chief facilities officer for Community College of Allegheny County, has been awarded the 2016 Meritorious Service Award by APPA (Association of Physical Plant Administrators). The Meritorious Service Award is the highest award given by APPA for individual service in the field of facilities management for education institutions.

    CCAC’s Accelerated Professional Programs provide the flexibility of online and hybrid learning in an accelerated format, giving students the opportunity to earn a certificate or degree faster.

    Are you interested in working with individuals, groups, families, communities and organizations and serve diverse and at-risk populations? If so, we would like to offer you $2,000 to further your education! CCAC has received an HRSA grant for 42 student scholarships. The deadline for enrollment in our Fall 2016 cohort is August 15.

    Registration for First Summer classes beginning May 23 is being extended by one day due to yesterday’s network outage. Registration for classes that have already met may be accepted until Wednesday, May 25 with instructor permission. We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility in response to our technical difficulties.

    On Tuesday, April 26, The Community College of Allegheny County Public Safety Institute conducted one of the largest Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) classes ever held in the region at Montour High School.     May is Military Appreciation Month! Today, CCAC's ongoing commitment to its Military and Veteran students was recognized by a Proclamation from Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald. Read the full text here.

    CCAC Car Cruise Winner
